- Bungie fires Marty O'Donnell 'without cause'

For more than a decade, Marty O’Donnell filled our worlds with unforgettable sounds and soundtracks, and left an indelible mark on our fans. Today, as friends, we say goodbye. We know that wherever his journey takes him, he will always have a bright and hopeful future.

We wish him luck in all his future endeavors.

However it seems things didn't end at good terms as David Dague suggested. In a tweet that came out on "April 15, 2014", Marty explains how Bungie's board of directors terminated him without cause on April 11, 2014.

I'm saddened to say that Bungie's board of directors terminated me without cause on April 11, 2014.

Many are speculating that there is something going on behind the scenes at Bungie since it wasn't that long ago that Bungie separated ways with Joseph Staten, who wrote the majority of the Halo story.
