So if you bought the PlayStation 3 version the PlayStation Vita version is Free!

Full Details below!
*from original post

  • Minecraft: Xbox One Edition will be released on Xbox Live Marketplace in August. It brings significantly bigger worlds and a greater draw distance than Xbox 360 Edition.
  • It will include all the features from the most recent Xbox 360 title update.
  • Minecraft: Xbox One Edition will cost $19.99.
  • If you’ve bought Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition from Xbox Live Marketplace, or played online with the disc version, you will be able to upgrade to Xbox One Edition for $4.99.
  • You will be able to upgrade for a minimum of a year after the release date.
  • Players with Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition saves will be able to import their worlds to Xbox One. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to transfer saves from Xbox One to Xbox 360. We can make worlds bigger without too much stress, but shrinking them causes all kinds of problems.
  • Cross platform play will not be possible between Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
  • Many, but not all, of the DLC skins and texture packs you’ve purchased for Xbox 360 Edition will be available for use in Xbox One Edition. We’d like to say all your DLC would transfer, but some of the items are trapped in licensing deals that are too boring to get into here. We’ll have more on this soon.

  • Minecraft: Playstation 3 + Vita Edition will be available on the PSN in August.
  • It will include all the features from the most recent Playstation 3 version, including online play on Vita.
  • This means everyone who has bought Minecraft: Playstation 3 Edition from PSN will get it on Vita for free. Those fluent in Sony-speak might refer to the deal as “Cross-buy.”
  • We are working closely with Sony Computer Entertainment to look into ways to enable upgrade from the Blu-ray disc version of Minecraft: Playstation 3 Edition to Minecraft: Playstation 3 and Vita. We’ll have more info on this closer to release.
  • Minecraft: Playstation 3 + Vita Edition will cost $19.99.
  • It doesn’t matter if you buy for PS3 or Vita first, you own the game for both platforms.
  • Saves are transferrable between the Playstation 3 and Vita versions of Minecraft. You will be able to craft at home on your Playstation 3, then continue on the bus/toilet with your Playstation Vita.
  • All of the DLC you’ve purchased for Minecraft: Playstation 3 Edition will work on Playstation 3 + Vita Edition.

  • Minecraft: Playstation 4 Edition will be released on the PSN in August. It brings significantly bigger worlds and a greater draw distance than Playstation 3 + Vita Edition.
  • It will include all the features from the most recent Playstation 3 version.
  • Minecraft: Playstation 4 Edition will cost $19.99.
  • If you’ve bought Playstation 3 Edition from the Playstation Network you will be able to upgrade for $4.99.
  • You will be able to upgrade for a minimum of a year after the release date.
  • We are working closely with Sony Computer Entertainment to look into ways to enable upgrade from the Blu-ray disc version of Minecraft: Playstation 3 Edition to Minecraft: Playstation 4 Edition. We’ll have more info on this closer to release.
  • Players with Playstation 3 Edition or Playstation 3 + Vita Edition saves will be able to import their worlds to Playstation 4. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to transfer your saves from Playstation 4 to Playstation 3/Vita. There are technical reasons for this; we can make worlds bigger without too much stress, but shrinking them causes all kinds of problems.
  • Cross-platform play will not be possible between Playstation 3 + Vita Edition and Playstation 4 Edition.
  • Many, but not all, of the DLC skins and texture packs you’ve purchased for Playstation 3 Edition will be available for use in Playstation 4 Edition. We’d like to say all your DLC would transfer but some of the items are trapped in licensing deals that are too boring to get into here. We’ll have more on this soon.

Many of you may be asking, what in the hell is Origin? Well Origin is EA's version of Steam however they haven't really been doing all that well despite pulling some of its games off Steam.

In a new Stunt perhaps to gain more popularity they are offering Dead Space for free. Dead Space is perhaps one of the most scariest games to be released and pretty much defines Horror/Survival. Could this possibly be EA's ticket to popularity?

- Game Review - Monument Valley (Pros, Cons, Illusions)

It isn’t quite often we see nicely well put together games coming to appstores, mainly because developers are in it for the quick buck. However when Time and Dedication are put into a game to refine every point of it, we get something like this.
Monument Valley, a game developed by UsTwo Games, which are also responsible for developing other games such as Blip Blup and Whale Trail. This game developer created this amazing piece of work which they state was inspired by M.C. Escher and his most notable Stairs drawings, forgive me for not pronouncing his whole name as it’s in dutch and I rather not mispronounce a name of such amazing talent.
Let’s talk about the introduction of the game, Monument Valley starts off by simply letting the player explore the ways to play the game. In most games nowadays the players hand is held the entire majority of the start, but Monument Valley takes the approach that is similar to games like Sword and Sworcery. It provides guidance but allows the player to explore ways to progress in the game.

Immediately at the start is a simple level, which tells the player how to move and how to manipulate objects in the area. Once this is achieved the game presents a beautiful loading screen, soon after it shows a building that appears to be inspired by Indian Palace architectures. As well as demonstrating once more that manipulating objects is key in this game through the level selection.
While proceeding through the game you notice that the game is telling a story through the levels, similar to Thomas Was Alone. Some of you may be hoping I talk more about the story but I will actually just let you figure that out on your own, rest assured it’s a good one.
Another thing that becomes apparent in the game is how the position and direction you move an object plays a Minecraft like musical note. This didn’t only suit the levels background music but made my experience feel more intact with the game, in a sense that it made me feel as my experience was unique. The objects manipulation is key but the game takes an approach that we haven’t seen since echochrome which might be the only downside I see in the game, which we will talk about in a bit.

Now some key things that we loved about the game is the Aesthetic appeal, it’s so bright and vibrant one can get easily sucked in the game and I mean it. I sat down to record 10-15 minutes of gameplay and I left with an hour of footage. Of course aesthetics was just one of the reasons I was pulled in, since the main reason I was is that the progression in difficulty feels perfect and well justified. I applaud the level design team on how they put it together, especially on the reliance for players to explore ways to manipulate objects rather than depending on holding the players hand.

While there is a lot of good there is a few things that bothered me for a bit, the game is very alike to Echochrome. It felt almost as a reskin of the game but not in a bad way so let me explain. First off Echochrome hasn’t seen another sequel since 2010 so the game pretty much is dead for now, or very low under radar. This game takes a lot from the good of Echochrome but let’s you manipulate objects, which entails to the concept of Echochrome but not the same approach throughout the whole game. Another issue is levels, there is only 10 levels and an issue with puzzles is the replay value is extremely low. Something many may have an issue with is the price tag which is $3.99. You have the decision to make up whether or not it’s worth the value and also to add on is that it is currently unclear whether or not there will be more levels released for the game and at what cost.

Let’s wrap the game up now to give it our rating.

Monument Valley is an amazing game with Aesthetics and Gameplay that remind you of games like FEZ and Echochrome. The game is great for those who are on commute or casually play puzzle games but the experience is short and really suffers two issues from one problem. Levels, the lack of levels shortens the players experience just as it gets good and replay value on a puzzle with 10 levels that present no other challenge but solving which makes it suffer. Another possible issue is the price tag which is coming at $4.00 dollars which isn’t a lot but isn’t on the lower end of the market. That price tag puts it side by side with games like “The Room Two” and “Limbo” which offer a more in depth experience then this game.

It honestly wasn't an easy decision but the game was an amazing idea but unfortunately it feels like the game was just that, an idea. It had everything going from each department, perfect level design, amazing music and great puzzles, but just as it gets good..... it stops. However casually playing this game could take you a day or two most, three if you are lucky. Nonetheless the experience is there and if you have the money it’s something worth picking up if you don’t mind how short it is but due to that shortness it’s shy off perfect which is why it gets four Musical Spinning Objects out of five.

- New Tony Hawk game underway?

[tony-hawks-project-8-20060508055315668.jpg]

After four years of no Tony Hawk games, Tony accidentally talks a bit too much on US radio.

In the past years Tony Hawk hasn't gotten a full fledged game since Activision pulled the plug due to the poor sales and reviews on the games, "Tony Hawk: Ride" and "Tony Hawk: Shred". Adding on the fact that Activision made a small arcade release of Tony Hawk HD, people were skeptic to believe a new series may have been underway.

We all are aware that Activision doesn't like leaking out information on their games, as many of us remember the whole Bungie and Activision partnership to put together Destiny. However Tony Hawk specifically stated this, "We're working on a game, we are working on a game, it's pretty cool!". After Tony stated that nothing happened until IGN managed to get a confirmation out of the publisher Activision.

"Activision can confirm that they have something in the works with Tony Hawk, more info is coming soon," was Activision's response.

It had been quite commonly known that Tony Hawk's video games series was on of the biggest franchises around from the Pro Skater series up Proving Ground. The key thing we'd like to point out is that the games stuck with the same Tony Hawk vibe and not picking any favorites but American Wasteland was probably the best one, (Yes I'm biased). Each year brought a new Tony Hawk sequel to the franchise until Tony Hawk: Ride and Tony Hawk: Shred changed the style of the game and brought poor reviews and low sales, as previously stated.

It's quite obvious that after two flops like that Activision will most definitely not take a turn down that road again, and thus brings us back to the upcoming Tony Hawk game. Many fans are interested which way they are planning to take this series, it has been commonly known that EA's Skate is one of the most popular ones out there and has set a high benchmark in what skateboarding game fans like. All we can do now is wait and see when more news on the game is released.
