Nintendo Wii U GameCube controller will create more problems than solutions for Nintendo

Nintendo is making a GameCube like controller for the Wii U. This is one of Nintendo's most terrible idea as of late, the Nintendo Wii U will now have the Gamepad, the Wiimote, the pro controller and now this new controller that will reflect a lot to the design of the GameCube Controller. Could this be a step forward or bigger step back since maybe the new controllers are not really appealing to the audience like it was back at launch.

The main reason why this is a bad idea is because the Wii U is now becoming an accessory hub. This means that they're trying to encourage customers to purchase different accessories for different games but even so that's not the issue. The issue is towards Nintendo not having a main audience so these accessories will create clutter and more financial problems for the company.

Another issue I'm having with Nintendo this time, is that all this money can be focused towards developing more games or working with third-party developers to bring more games to the Wii U. Speaking of which, how do you expect for developers to react to this? Now they have to create code for this controller to provide functionality to the games they made. This will also revive an old issue Nintendo had in the past with the Wii U not being able to play GameCube titles on to gamepad. Except this time it can affect all the current games on the Wii U but maybe not affect previous GameCube titles which was probably their main intention.

Nonetheless the focus of Nintendo clearly hasn't changed, they are putting focus on other things aside from the main issue which is games. We keep hearing that they're working on titles but we don't only care about their main franchise games which is what they still don't understand. As a gamer personally I want to see more third-party support so that I know I have variety of games for the Wii U to play.

- Nintendo forgetting their roots of the "Super Mario Bros." series?

* = This means our sources for factual evidence, that's right we purchased some memberships, now working with freelance journalist to bring news even faster to you. We however cannot disclose most of our associated sources due to terms and agreements, please enjoy our articles.

Update: Nintendo Clarified their mistake 26 mins after and the re-edited version states it was the "Warp Whistle". However Warp Whistle and Zone are not alike which is still a slip up especially for the core games. Who ever posted it mustn't be doing just that, posting it.

Nintendo has blundered in sales, created flops in their past, and even pickpocketed monetized profits from YouTube channels but now they seem to be forgetting their roots. On Twitter today Nintendo of America tried to post a nostalgic fact about Super Mario Bros. and all seemed fine until you read it. Nintendo stated that Warp Zone was first introduced in Super Mario Bros. 3 when the most notable Warp Zone is the one in World 1-2 at the end. Pretty much everyone from the 90s has made that a fact by now in every kids-grandparents brain. However Nintendo is slipping up from all directions lately, someone might be out of a job for this, as this is a slip up to their most profiting franchise.
